Debbie Lagemaat has been in the sewing machine industry since 1990, working for two previous owners of the business. In 1997, Tony and Debbie purchased the business operating at the College Value Mall and renamed it Lethbridge Sewing Centre. After a few short years, we knew we needed to move to a bigger space, so in 2000, we purchased the building at 1256 3rd Ave S. That was when the iconic Big Yellow Button was mounted on the building. This has been a well-known landmark in Lethbridge for 24 years, and quickly became our new logo.
In 2007, we brought on Thistledown Quilts and incorporated their beautiful selection of fabrics and their quilting expertise to our superb lineup of sewing machines. Now we could offer classes and a place for quilters to meet and socialize while creating beautiful masterpieces. In 2022, we celebrated 25 years in business, and we are still going strong.
