All sewing machines require regular maintenance which will keep them running smoothly and extend their life. We recommend having your machine serviced yearly if you use it regularly, and every 3 years with less frequent use. For annual maintenance, we offer same day service. This service is available by appointment. You can drop your machine off by 9:30am (or earlier) on the day of service and get the machine back later in the day. Same day service is only for regular maintenance, if your machine is not working you will need to leave it at the store. Pre-book your annual sewing machine maintenance by calling the store.
Warranty: 60 days on household use machines, 30 days on business use machines. Warranty is void if machine is taken apart and/or misrepresentation of use of machine. You must bring the machine with the original receipt back to us for warranty work .
What to bring with your machine for service:
When you bring in your sewing or embroidery machine for service, please bring along:
- Sewing Machine
- Power Cord
- Foot control
- Standard zigzag presser foot and foot holder
- Zigzag needle plate
- For embroidery machines:
- Embroidery Unit (if nessesary)
- Medium Embroidery Hoop
- Embroidery Foot
When you bring your serger/coverstitch machine in for service, please bring along:
- Serger/Coverstitch machine
- Power cord
- Foot control
- 1 standard presser foot
PLEASE NOTE: No other accessories are required, please leave these items at home.
NOTE: If you are having a specific problem with your sewing machine or serger, please bring a stitch sample on the fabric you are having issues with to show us the problem, or leave it threaded exactly as it is.
